China delivered 84 million yuan (US$10.16 million) for southern areas which were hit by floods and rainstorms since May, to ensure the local people's daily life.
Sources with the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) told Xinhua Friday that most southern provinces and regions have entered the flood season so far, and some areas have encountered with natural disasters such as flood, storm, and mud-rock flow causing great losses of the local people.
The MCA immediately dispatched working teams to the disaster-hit areas, an official with MCA told Xinhua, adding joint efforts by all administrations have been made for disaster relief.
The delivered 84 million yuan will go to Jiangxi, Fujian, Guizhou, Hunan for reconstruction work. And in the meantime, 7,000 tents will be sent to Fujian, Hunan and Guizhou.
