A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Monday that the anti-corruption work should be pushed further.
"The Party should further implement the successful practices of leading officials bearing responsibility for corruption cases by subordinates," said Wu Guanzheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, when addressing a national meeting on anti-corruption.
"Party discipline inspection committees at all levels should make full play of their roles when carrying out the anti-corruption work," said Wu, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
He noted the construction of a healthy Party work style has proved to be effective in curbing graft and other forms of corruption.
"Meanwhile, we should also explore more ways to solve the deep problems behind corruption cases so as to reduce the cases to the limit," said Wu.
