Zeng Qinghong on Party Building in Universities

Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong Friday had a talk with representatives attending the 13th conference on party-building in universities.

He, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, urged party committees at different levels to implement the essence of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee and push party-building in universities.

"Universities should do a good job to train students as qualified talents to meet the demands of the party and the nation, which is of great and profound importance for ensuring the party to complete its historic mission of ruling and rejuvenating the nation," Zeng said.

University leaders are the leader, organizer and pusher for the reform and development of universities, he noted.
