Two Pakistan Navy ships on Tuesday departed for Sri Lanka and Indonesia for rescue and relief operations in the wake of Tsunami, said a press release issued by Pakistan Navy.
Besides, manpower for rescue assistance, tents, blankets, foodstuff and medicines of 1000 metric tons are being transported, it said.
Pakistan Navy Marine expeditionary force boarding the ships will help in removal of debris, evacuation efforts and other assistance to the local authorities, it said.
A C-130 aircraft with relief equipment has also been dispatched to Sri Lanka on Tuesday, local media reported.
