US Says No Deadline for Six-Party Talks

The US said Monday that there is no deadline for the end of the six-party talks as the long-stalled talks are ready to be resumed on Tuesday.

"We have not set any deadlines for the end of these talks. We are ready to roll up our sleeves to work together," State Department spokesperson Sean McCormack said at a news briefing.

"As we move forward, we will see what the modalities are that the other members of the six-party talks agree to, Ambassador (Christopher) Hill ... is prepared to stay there and work through these issues," he said.

Three rounds of six-party talks have been held in Beijing and the last round of talks was held in June last year.
