The Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Headquarters of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) entertained those involved in the launch of the Shenzhou VI manned spacecraft to a large-scale art performance Tuesday.
Li Jinai, a CMC member and director of the PLA General Political Department, led the troupe which performed at Beijing's "Space City".
In addition to performances by artists, the wives of the six Chinese taikonauts, who were pilots or backups for the country's second manned space flight, presented a chorus My Heart Is Flying With You.
Representatives of the 8,000-strong audience presented flowers to Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, who flew on Shenzhou VI, and to other members of the space flight brigade of the PLA, as well as representatives of the scientists working for the country's manned space program.
