All the overseas Chinese in Cameroon on Monday hailed the safe return of the re-entry capsule of Shenzhou VI, China's second manned spacecraft.
"All of us, the overseas Chinese here in Cameroon, are very happy with and inspired by the success of China's second manned space mission," said a joint statement issued by the Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Cameroon and the Cameroon Association for Promoting China's Peaceful Reunification.
The success of Shenzhou VI showed a landmark progress in the development of China's space technology, the statement noted.
The re-entry capsule of Shenzhou VI, carrying Chinese astronauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, landed on earth safely at 4:33 AM Beijing time Monday (2033GMT Sunday), marking a "complete success “of China's second manned space mission.
