Film Lost in Beijing premieres
Adjust font size:

Rising director Li Yu's new film "Lost in Beijing" featuring actress Fan Bingbing and actor Tong Dawei, premiered Wednesday in Shanghai.

Major cast members were all present at the premiere, Hong Kong-based publication Tungstar reported.

The movie, which depicts the struggles between two couples of unequal social status, has been in the spotlight since shooting started.

The film was reportedly chopped to 90 minutes in length from the original 112 minutes, due to some overly passionate scenes.

Director Li Yu said the unforeseen editing did not spoil the integrity of the story and "the focus should be on the story itself, instead of the deleted scenes".
