Tickets for the ninth Shanghai International Film Festival have been selling well since sales started last Sunday.
According to a manager at the film festival's main site, Shanghai Film Art Center, many people are in long queues to buy tickets.
So far, among the 180 movies showing at the cinema, French movies Animal and The Perfume of the Lady in Black, as well as Woody Allen's Match Point, were the most popular flicks.
Shanghai Film Art Center is one of 19 cinemas that will screen about 200 foreign and domestic pictures during the festival.
