Alex Man was born in Hong Kong in 1957. He enrolled in RTV training class and acted in many TV drama & action series. His film debut was Ann Hui's The Secret.
He is generally known for his grinning tough guy roles in either low budget action films as King of Gambler and a number of Girls with Guns films, such as Fight to Survive, Gangland Odyssey and Hong Kong Gigolo. But he has also appeared in some solid productions, such as Po-chih Leong's Hong Kong 1941, Clifford Choi's Hong Kong, Hong Kong and Eddie Fong's classy Category III production, An Amorous Woman in the Tang Dynasty.
He was awarded the Best Actor Award in Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards for his performances in Gangland Odyssey.
He often plays somewhat crazy characters in his films and TV drama series - but in real life he has been accused by the press of really being crazy! He was married to actress Tien Niu, but they were divorced in 1996.
