The "Hong Kong–Japan Year 2005 Film Festival", opened in Tokyo on Monday.
As an important cultural exchange between Japan and Hong Kong, the festival has two parts, a film conference and a music conference.
Hong Kong popular stars, Cecilia Cheung and Leo Ku, attended the music conference, which was also attended by Korean singer, BoA; Japanese band, Chemistry; and the composer Yanagiman.
At the film conference, Cecilia Cheung and Leo Ku's new movie, Sassy Killer- which was directed by Hong Kong master, Wong Jing - was screened to an audience in excess of 200.
The Festival will run for two weeks, during which a slate of representative Hong Kong movies, such as Infernal Affairs and the Color of the Truth, will also be screened.
