China's most famous film director Zhang Yimou's 2002 martial arts blockbuster Hero has had its long awaited grand premier in Hollywood.

Accompanied by renowned director Quentin Tarantino, Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and Chinese Kongfu star Jet Li were on hand to promote the movie.

Zhang Yimou couldn't make it to Hollywood: He's in Athens busy directing a show to celebrate the handing of the Olympic flag to Beijing at the end of the Games.
