The first animated film of Yue opera has premiered in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.
The cartoon movie is a kind of light comedy, adopted from a famous Yue opera, and tells a story about a headstrong princess who is won over by a humble emperor's son-in-law.
The unusual film is to be shown in Guangzhou for a month and will air in other cities across the country.
Yue opera has a long history of 600 years and is popular in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and other regions in south-east Asia.
