A set of stamps depicting late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping will be issued at a commemoration ceremony at Shenzhen Children's Palace on Aug. 22, the 100th anniversary of Deng's birthday.
A memorial stamp exhibition will also be held there from Aug. 22 to 24, Chinese newspapers reported.
For the convenience of collectors, a temporary post office will be set up during the celebrations, offering stamps and books about Deng.
It was Deng's decision more than 20 years ago to make Shenzhen the front line of China's opening-up and reform.
Deng had visited the city twice, once in 1984 and again in 1992.
