The ten patients in a ward at the Prince of Wales Hospital who had developed fevers were tested negative for H5 Virus, said the Hospital Authority Wednesday.
The patients also received Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) tests. Tests for five of them were negative. The results for the other five patients had not come out yet.
Doctors said it was abnormal for ten people in the same ward to suffer from fever at the same time.
According to the hospital authority, the ten patients had been put in isolation ward and caution system had been started in the hospital.
It said medical staff in the hospital had not been affected so far.
