The SARS epidemic has got "over its peak period" around the world, including China, Henk Bekedam, the WHO representative to China, told a news briefing here Thursday.
"We can see it globally and we can also see it in China," Bekedam told press, describing it as "very good news."
After citing the Toronto's case, he warned to keep vigil against the possible renewal of the epidemic.
