Some 3,000 Greeks demonstrated in Athens Saturday to protest against the US-led occupation of Iraq and Israel's attacks on the Palestinians.
The demonstrators, who gathered in front of the US and Israeli embassies, demanded that US troops withdraw from Iraq and Israel stop its attacks on Palestinian territories.
Some hurled bottles and yogurt at riot police.
A protest was also staged outside a US military base on the island of Crete, which supports the US 6th Fleet and spy planes.
The rally came on the same day as several similar marches took place in Britain, South Korea, France and Turkey.
