Bomb-making Class Causes Fallujah Mosque Explosion: US Military
A bomb-manufacturing class taught inside a mosque in Fallujah, west of Baghdad, caused the huge explosion at the mosque this week which left seven people dead, US military said on Wednesday.

An investigation conducted by US-led coalition forces and local police has determined that coalition forces were in no way responsible for the explosion, which occurred late Monday, the US military said in a statement.

"The explosion was apparently related to a bomb-manufacturing class that was being taught inside the mosque," the statement added.

Four people believed to be theology students were killed on the spot as the blast took place at the al-Hassan mosque. Two others and the imam of the mosque later died of wounds.

Some local witnesses said the explosion was caused by a missile or bomb strike.
