Telephone users

The installed capacity of telephony had reached 13.798 million, up by 10.7 percent over the previous year by the end of 2003. The number of fixed telephone subscribers in the province reached 12.786 million, number of mobile phone subscribers 9.629 million, and Internet users 3.826 million. The three figures are up by 25.8 percent, 13.7 percent and 8.4 percent respectively.

Radio and TV

The province has 15 radio stations, 32 medium-wave radio launch pads and relay stations, covering 97.8 percent of the population in Liaoning. It also has 15 TV stations and 436 launch pad and relay stations covering 97.7 percent of the population in the province.
