Some 36 Jordanians crossed the Al-Karama border center into Iraq on Sunday to fight the US-led coalition troops, according to Egypt's state MENA news agency.
"Since the start of the US-led aggression on Iraq, 5,628 people, most of whom are Iraqis, crossed the Jordanian borders to Iraq," Director of Al-Karama Border Center Colonel Ahmad Al-Hazayma was quoted as saying.
He also reported "2,558 people of different nationalities" fleeing the war-torn neighboring country.
Meanwhile, the center said Jordan has sent more than 200 trucks laden with food, medicine and other humanitarian supplies to Iraq since March 17, three days ahead of the outbreak of war.
