Pakistan Wants Immediate End to War
Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesman Aziz Ahmed Khan on Monday reiterated that Pakistan wants an immediate end to the Iraq war and wants the issue to be settled through peaceful means.

The spokesman said at a weekly news briefing here that Pakistan would not expel the Iraqi diplomats.

"the United Nations has to play its role," said the spokesman, adding that Pakistan has been involved in discussions at the UN Security Council.

Pakistan, he said, has been exploring all avenues to send humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people, however, at the moment the situation is such that it is not possible for the aid to pass through.
