Bangaldeshi Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia Thursday called for an immediate end to Iraq war and expressed her regret over the casualties of innocent civilians including children and women there.
She gave this call when the newly appointed Ambassador of Iran in Bangladesh Mohammad Behesthi made a courtesy call on her at the Prime Minister's office, according to the official Bangladesh News Agency.
Khaleda Zia also called for beginning of humanitarian aid activities under the UN agencies in Iraq immediately.
She urged the United Nations to play an effective role in ending the war and sufferings of human beings.
The issues of Muslim and other international matters camp up for discussions during the meeting.
