Aznar Says Military Operations Against Iraq Will Be Proportional
Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar said on Thursday that the US-led military strike against Iraq will be proportional.

Aznar said that coalition forces are to minimize the damage and the loss of lives in Iraq and Spain's priority is to respond effectively to the humanitarian need of the people displaced by war.

"(Iraqi President) Saddam Hussein is the only one to lose his last chance. The end of Saddam is the beginning of Iraqi people to integrate into the international community," he said.

Spain will take the responsibility to the recovering of Iraq's future, he added.
