Two Iraqi Scud missiles that were fired into northern Kuwait on Thursday were intercepted by Patriot missiles, Kuwait's Ministry of Defense confirmed.
The two intercepted Iraqi missiles landed in the desert in northern Kuwait, causing no damage and casualties, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, officials from Kuwaiti environmental department said no biological and chemical pollution was found in both water and air in Kuwait.
