Chinese President Jiang Zemin left Vaco,US Friday for Mexico to attend the informal summit meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) following his four-day working visit to the United States.
During his stay, Jiang and President George W. Bush held talks in the latter's ranch in Crawford, Texas, on promotion of bilateral ties. The two leaders had an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern and reached a consensus on those issues that will help move forward the constructive and cooperative relationship between China and the United States.
During the visit, Jiang also toured the Johnson Space Center in Houston and delivered a speech at the George Bush Presidential Library in Texas A and M University on Thursday.
