Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said Tuesday in Beijing that China will stick to its reform and opening policy because it is the way to development and prosperity.
Li made the remark when meeting a delegation of Japanese entrepreneurs based in China. The delegation, led by Hidekatsu Yamamoto and Sakashita Shigenobu, is attending a seminar on China's policy on foreign-funded ventures in Beijing.
China always hopes its foreign policy will increasingly benefit cooperation between China and its partners. The seminar, which is an important opportunity to exchange views, enhance understanding, improve China's relevant policy and promote cooperation, should be held regularly, he said.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the normalization of ties between China and Japan. China hopes that entrepreneurs from China and Japan would consolidate cooperation in economic and trade areas, and help promote Sino-Japanese friendship from generation to generation, Li said.
