An exhibition of films of the famous Japanese star Kurihara Komaki opened in Beijing Sunday as part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic ties.
The film show is jointly sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the China Film Archive and the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association.
Six of Kurihara's films will be shown in the China Film Archive. Her films came to China at the end of the 1970s.
CPAFFC President Chen Haosu praised Kurihara's efforts in promoting the cultural exchanges between China and Japan over the past years, hoping the exhibition will give the audience a chance to review Kurihara's film works.
Kurihara expressed her wish to make more efforts for Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges in the future, expecting that the two countries will enjoy peace and friendship forever.
