PLA Navy Vessel Concludes Visit to Vietnam

The seeing-off ceremony, which was grandly held at the Saigon port, were attended by Vice Commander of the Vietnamese People's Navy Tran Quang Khue, leading officers from Vietnam's Defense Ministry and the Military Region 7 of Vietnamese People's Army, Chinese Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Gao Deke and Chinese Military Attache to Vietnam Li Yuehong.

Senior colonel Qu Lishu, head of destroyer fleet of PLA's Nan Hai Sea Fleet and Commander of the visiting Chinese frigate Yulin told Xinhua that "the Chinese frigate Yulin's visit to Vietnam has achieved great success and we will go back with the profound friendship of the Vietnamese people and army for the Chinese people and army."

Vice Commander of the Vietnamese People's Navy Tran Quang Khue also said that since the normalization of the two countries ten years ago, the Vietnam-China friendly relations have been smoothly developing. The frigate Yulin's visit to Vietnam, the first visit to Vietnam by PLA Navy vessel, will further promote the profound friendship between the two countries.

During the visit, the officers and soldiers of frigate Yulin laid a wreath at the statue of former Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and had sight-seeing in Ho Chi Minh city.

A friendly get-together between the officers and soldiers of PLA's frigate Yulin and soldiers of Vietnamese People's Navy was held during the visit.

The leading officers of Vietnam's Defense Ministry, the Vietnamese People's Navy and the 7th Military Region of Vietnamese People's Army and local officials had visited the China-built PLA's missile-equipped frigate.
