Protesting Japanese Atrocities in WWII

Taiwan local lawmaker May Chin (upper left) and a supporter hold pictures of a Japanese soldier executing a Taiwan aboriginal during Japan's 50-year occupation of the island from 1895 to 1945, in a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Wednesday.

Chin, herself a Taiwanese aboriginal, led the rally at the UN to draw attention to atrocities committed during the Japanese occupation, including drafting Taiwan aboriginals into Japan's military and forcing women into sexual slavery.
