Flora Garden Gets International Authentication
A tropical flora garden in Xishuangbanna, a famous scenic spot in southwest China's Yunnan Province, has passed the assessment in accordance with international standards of ISO9001 and ISO14001 for quality and environment administration systems.

The tropical flora garden under the Yunnan Research Institute of Tropical Plants has developed into a major national research center of tropical economic crops and an AAA-grade scenic spot. It was built in the 1950s and covers 80 hectares.

More than 7,000 varieties of tropical plants and over 1,000 varieties of flowers have been planted in the garden, including some rare varieties such as the monkey-bread tree, dance tree and shy tree.
