China has recently publicized the technical standards for water-saving products that cover irrigation facilities, cooling tanks, washing machines, toilet facilities and nozzles, the products that are widely used in great quantities.
The Ministry of Water Conservancy, the National Management Committee of Standardization and the National Certification Management Committee issued the standards.
Suo Lisheng, the Vice-Minister of Water Conservancy, said that most of the water use-related products do not save water and some of the products are seriously sub-standard in technicality and steadiness of quality. He said that the national standards would help promote the water-saving industry.
