Fourteen towns across the country were named as "National Model Towns for Good Environment" by the State Environment Protection Administration yesterday.
The 14 model towns - including Xiaotangshan Town in Beijing, Yangliuqing Town in Tianjin and Longgang Town in Shenzhen - were hailed as model towns due to their outstanding performance in protecting forestry or increasing grass coverage, promoting environmentally friendly industry or agriculture and achieving sustainable development.
