The first 10,000 copies of the City Greenland Map of Shanghai, the first of its kind in China, will be available starting March 9.
The novel map, entirely devoted to the city's green spaces, is essential to Shanghai's grand objective of building itself into a state-level garden city.
The map shows all 125 parks in the city, more than 10 public greenlands, major scenic avenues and the greenbelts along the inner and outer ring roads, including a 400-meter wide greenbelt still under construction.
The map clearly shows roads, transportation routes and other landmarks, and includes written indications, making it very easy to follow.
Fan-shaped when folded and printed on fine light-weight paper, it is also convenient to carry.
On March 9, copies will be given out free as a promotion.
