An environmental protection exposition will be held from September 5 to 7 in Dalian, a port city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
According to the organizing committee, the exposition will have nearly 700 booths covering 14,000 square meters and will show the progress in environmental protection, equipment and technology and environmentally friendly products.
The exposition, known as the 2002 China Environmental Protection Expo, is jointly sponsored by the State Environmental Protection Administration and the city government of Dalian.
A number of seminars on the environmental protection industry will also be held during the exposition.
About 500 businesses have registered for attending the exposition, a spokesman for the organizing committee said.
