Due to new technology in recycling and precise calculation, Shanghai Baosteel Group Corp said it had saved more water and coal energy this year. Its level of energy efficiency was near the international standard.
Latest statistics released by the steel giant indicate that it manages to consume no more than 689 kilograms of coal and 3.72 cubic meters of the pure water, which are processed for industrial use only, to produce a ton of steel.
