Jiangsu Province is suffering through serious drought with the third lowest rainfall in its worst-stricken areas during the past 44 years.
The local weather bureau is calling for man-made rain to ease up the situation as 80 percent of the province is undergoing dry weather.
The capital city Nanjing has had a two millimeter volume of rain for only twice this month and drought in areas south of Huaihe River is likely to continue.
