Following a rainstorm paralyzing Beijing municipal facilities on July 10, another heavy rain came to the city Tuesday, testing again its transportation system as well as authorities' disaster-dealing capability.
Taught by last rain, the local administration started its emergency case as soon as there appeared a tendency of increasing rainfall, abating impacts brought by the rain.
Over 2,500 officials and 300 prowl cars were dispatched to keep order on roads. However, traffic jams still happened in some places due to congested traffic flow in the rush hour.
And some road lights were damaged in the rain.
On July 10, when a heavy rain fell in the city, traffic system was seriously affected, depth of see per even reached two meters level in some places.
