Taiwan singer and actress Vivian Hsu attended a Hong Kong promotion, her first event since her father's illness, on Thursday.

After her work finishes, Hsu's will return to Taiwan to take care of her father.

According to China News Service, Hsu's 52-year-old father recently fell seriously ill and had entered hospital for several times. Since he began receiving hospital treatments, Hsu has declined many offers to perform.

While acting in a television show in Shanghai, she cried over the news of her father's illness.

Hsu's father is now recovering.
