The Miss Asia Pageant 2007 concluded last night with a local Hong Kong beauty claiming the throne.

Grace Cheung Ka Ying, a contestant from Hong Kong, was crowned as Miss Asia 2007. She also won another minor award for her "perfect body and manners". Choi Ju Hee from South Korea and Sun Chen from Chinese mainland's Hubei Province collected the second and third place prizes.
Twenty-three finalists from Chinese mainland regions, Hong Kong & Macao, Taiwan, and even overseas territories such as the United States and Canada, participated in the furious final last night.
India's Neha Ahuja, Singapore's Eva Roslan, Hong Kong's Cindy Wong Sin Ting and America's Kathy Wu Jia Xing all scored several minor beauty awards for their performances.
Since Asia Television first screened the event in 1985 the Miss Asia Pageant has injected great vitality into the concept of competition and participation. It has become an annual event of great popularity, with many golden moments cherished still by appreciative audiences. Most of the contestants, such as Eve Lai, Nina Li, Jaclyn Chu, Veronica Yip, Alice Chan, Candy Lo, have gone on to become popular stars and household names in the entertainment industry.
