Chinese mainland actress Liu Zi, who is also the Environmental Ambassador of 2007, promoted environmental protection at the opening ceremony of a store in Shanghai on Friday.

"I was born in Guizhou, a picturesque province in south China and I always have a strong feeling for the friendly environment I live in," she told reporters.

"In recent years, global warming has become a serious problem and every one of us should have the sense of responsibility to protect our living environment."

She also revealed that she has always been trying her best to stop people around her from polluting the environment.
