Last week, in Xiamen of Fujian Province, renowned overseas Chinese conductor Zhu Hui and the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra treated audiences to a stirring symphony concert, dubbed "Master and Classics".
Zhu Hui presented the concert audience with famous pieces like German composer Carl Maria von Weber's Peter Schmoll Overture, British composer Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations and Finish composer Jean Sibelius' No.5 Symphony Major in E Flat. The enchanting music, and Zhu Hui's brilliant conducting, won massive audience praise.
Zhu Hui graduated with honors from the England Royal Academy of Music in 1955 before going on to further study at the Brussels Royal Academy of Music. His first received critical acclaim after conducting the Igor Stravinsky masterpiece, The Soldier's Tale. Zhu Hui's fame continues to spread on the back of extensive tours throughout Europe and southern Africa.
