A group of 24 students from Taiwan's Chinese Culture University Tuesday toured cultural and historical sites in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, becoming the first group from a Taiwanese educational institution to visit the central part of the Chinese mainland following the SARS epidemic.
The visitors toured Wuhan University, the provincial museum, the memorial to the Revolution of 1911, which led to the overthrow of China's last feudal dynasty, and the Yellow Crane Tower, a site of historic interest.
The students arrived in Wuhan Monday for a nine-day visit. They will also travel by ship upstream on the Yangtze River to the Three Gorges and Chongqing Municipality.
