Results of a controversial large survey, which votes for "The 20th century top 10 Chinese cultural idols" have finally gone public.
Father of modern Chinese literature, Lu Xun ranks the first in the list, followed by Hong Kong Kungfu novelist Jin Yong. Hong Kong artist Leslie Zhang, who committed suicide two month ago ranks 7th. Pop singer Faye Wang occupies the 10th position.
Late outstanding dramatist Lao She, the self-giving soldier Lei Feng and renowned Peking opera master Mei Lanfang are all on the list.
Over 140 thousand people took part in the survey.
