China Publishes Medical Work on SARS Treatment
The Guangdong Provincial Education Publishing House published a book Monday on Diagnosis and Treatment of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Under its chief editor Zhong Nanshan, a noted medical expert and leader of the expert team for SARS control in south China's Guangdong Province, the book gives a detailed introduction on SARS research development, diagnosis and treatment and management of hospitals which receive SARS patients.

Meanwhile, another book titled The Prevention and Control of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) with Dr. Xu Ruiheng as its chief editor, was also published.

Medical workers in Guangdong Province, who have developed prompt, effective methods of SARS prevention, control and treatment, have won high praise from officials of the World Health Organization (WHO).

To date, Guangdong has efficiently controlled the spread of SARS disease and, by Monday morning, the whole province had reported no new cases for 16 consecutive days.
