An exhibition will be staged in Macao's Tourist Tower to showcase art pieces recasting the eight scenic spots which will be China's new nominees to run for the world heritage.
A total of 269 art pieces to be on show from March 29 to May 28 were selected from some 1,000 entry works sent by 183 local artists in Macao, which aesthetically recast the eight scenic spots including Macao's European-style architecture, Beijing's Ming Tombs and the terrace wonder in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The exhibits were taken in forms of calligraphy painting, poster, prints and photography to define the charm embodied by the cultural heritage.
The artists' tour to the candidate sites were sponsored by the Culture Institute of the Macao Special Administrative Region government. A judging panel is consisted of five visual art experts from China's Mainland and Taiwan, Japan and America.
