Morcheeba, one of the most popular electronic bands in Britain, is to tour China at the invitation of British Council.
The tour is an important part of a series of activities organized by the British Council titled "Think UK".
The main theme of the campaign is to showcase the modern creative spirit in the fields of arts, education, science and business.
The band will start its tour in the southwest city of Chongqing, moving on to Beijing on March 8 and 9, and ending up with concerts in the southern city of Shenzhen.
The world renowned band is a unique group in its genre, with record sales around the world in excess of 4 million.
Its latest album is titled “Charango”, and is currently in the top 5 in European markets.
