China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) will work to cooperate on shooting films and TV series, Seo Hee-Deok, president of the ROK Asia Culture Exchange Conference, said in Shanghai Tuesday.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Sino-ROK cultural exchanges was signed during a forum on Sino-ROK folk culture industries held in this east China municipality.
The two sides have yet to cooperate on any films, TV programs or music and, with regard to contents of cooperation, both countries' media organizations can continue to discuss the related matters, Seo said.
The media firms that signed the MOU, representing different groups from the culture industry of both countries, agreed to provide mutual consultations on laws and regulations during cooperation.
In recent years, ROK pop culture has influenced, to some extent, China's younger generation as more Korean songs and TV series have been broadcasted in China.
