The Chinese and Portuguese editions of Macao Yearbook 2001 were published recently as the first almanac that introduces the development of Macao in an all-round way since the Special Administrative Region (SAR) was born nearly three years ago.
Compiled and written by the Information Bureau of the SAR government, the 450-page yearbook in Chinese covers major events and government administration in 2001, as well as an annual review of the SAR, a brief introduction of the SAR and appendices.
Additionally, the book includes the latest information about the SAR government departments and public bodies, economic indices and other guide about Macao.
It basically reflects the situation of politics, economy, social affairs and culture in Macao last year, said officials with the Information Bureau, adding that the English-edition yearbook will also be available soon.
