Hong Kong Education Department Tuesday said it will launch a new round of school professional collaboration project at the end of this month to forge partnership for the betterment of school education in Hong Kong.
It has been the second straight year for the department to invite 20 schools to undertake the project as resource schools to disseminate exemplary practices and provide support services for other schools, the department said in a statement.
With the sharing of invaluable experience by these schools, the project is to help other schools enhance their capacity for making improvement, especially in the area of teaching and learning, and forge partnership for the betterment of school education in Hong Kong, it said.
In addition to secondary, primary and special schools, two kindergartens and an English Schools Foundation primary school are for the first time invited to serve as resource schools.
Support services to be provided by these resource schools include experience sharing activities, on-site consultancy and support for teachers to adapt exemplary practices in their schools, open-house activities to demonstrate exemplary practices, development of web-based teaching resources and video-taping of exemplary practices for dissemination.
