The 5th China Sex Culture Festival is set to begin Saturday in the southern port city of Guangzhou.
 
This is reported to be the biggest ever sex culture showcase in the country. A total of 280 highly expensive booths it offers at the Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Center have already been sold out.

Meanwhile, exhibitors whirled up fierce competition when bidding for the advertisement spaces in the journal of the event.

"We spent five grand on the back cover," an exhibitor surnamed Yang told the New Express. And the cover page costs as much as ten thousand yuan, Mr. Yang said.

Selection is going on for models of an underwear fashion show, the traditional highlight of the sex culture carnival. Candidates include professional models as well as college students seeking part-time jobs.

Organizers said the models are required to be expressive, while at least 170 cm tall for girls and 180 cm for boys.
